Alpaca Photography and Art Competitions
The Photography and Art section of the Futurity Competition will showcase talented photographers, artists and their models. Judging will be completed prior to the event opening and all entries will be on display in the main Hall for the duration of the event.

Photography
Entries are invited for the following classes, Entry fee per exhibit £5 plus VAT:
Class PH1 Cria: A photograph containing one or more cria.
Class PH2 Working With Alpacas: A photograph showing alpacas and humans working together, such as at events, shows or similar settings.
Class PH3 Landscape With One or More Alpacas: A photograph of a farm or countryside scene containing at least one alpaca.
Class PH4 Something Different With Alpacas: A photograph of an unusual setting, presentation or scene which includes at least one alpaca.
Awards:
Rosettes will be awarded in each class to three places if appropriate.
Best Photograph award judged from first places in each class.
Prize Money: Best Photograph £25

| 1 The photographs must have been taken by the exhibitor
2 There is a limit of two exhibits from one exhibitor per class 3 Minimum size A4 (210 x 297mm). Maximum size A3 (420 x 297mm) 4 Judging will be based on quality, artistic impression and how well the photograph depicts the category in which it was entered 5 Exhibits must not have any identifying features such as stud or farm name, exhibitor name or logo 6 Photographs should be mounted on stiff card or mount board. Please do not submit mounted within any type of frame 7 Exhibits must be collected by the exhibitor or nominee at the conclusion of the Futurity 8 The judge’s decision is final and no correspondence will be entered into |

Art Works
Entries are invited for the following classes. There are two separate classes for Juniors up to 16 years of age on 16th March 2012.
Entry fee per exhibit £5 plus VAT.
Class AR1: A Painting including at least one alpaca
Class AR2 Junior Entries Only: A Painting including at least one alpaca
Class AR3: A Drawing including at least one alpaca
Class AR4 Junior Entries Only: A Drawing including at least one alpaca
Awards:
Rosettes will be awarded in each class to three places if appropriate.
Best Art award.
Best Junior Art award.
Prize Money: Best awards £25.

Alpaca Fibre Craft Competition
An excellent and fun way to have your skills and innovation in fibre craft on display to everyone.
Professionally judged with rosettes and cash prizes for the best Classes available for both adults and juniors in the use of alpaca fibre with sections for hand spinning, weaving, hand knitting, machine knitting, crocheting, felting and hand dying.
Judging will be completed prior to the event opening and all entries will be on display in the main Hall for the duration of the event.

Entries are invited for the following classes. There are separate classes for juniors up to 16 years of age on 16th March 2012.
Entry fee per exhibit is £5 plus VAT.

Class FC1/1: Hand spun 100% natural alpaca plain 25g skein , Huacaya or Suri
Class FC1/2: Hand spun 100% natural alpaca fancy 25g skein, huacaya or Suri (Can be a blend)
Section 2 Weaving
Class FC2/1: Hand woven article using hand spun alpaca yarn—Huacaya or Suri
Class FC2/2: Hand woven article using machine made alpaca yarn—Huacaya or Suri
Section 3 Hand Knitting or Crocheting
Class FC3/1: Hand knitted article using hand spun alpaca yarn—Huacaya or Suri
Class FC3/2: Hand knitted article using machine made alpaca yarn—Huacaya or Suri
Class FC3/3: Junior Entrants Only: Hand knitted article using hand or machine made alpaca yarn—Huacaya or Suri
Class FC3/4: Crocheted article using hand spun alpaca yarn—Huacaya or Suri
Class FC3/5: Crocheted article using machine made alpaca yarn—Huacaya or Suri
Class FC3/6: Junior Entrants Only: Crocheted article using hand spun or machine made alpaca yarn—Huacaya or Suri

Class FC4/1: Machine knitted article using hand spun alpaca yarn—Huacaya or Suri
Class FC4/2: Machine knitted article using machine spun alpaca yarn—Huacaya or Suri
Section 5 Felting
Class FC5/1: Felted article using alpaca fibre
Class FC5/2: Junior Entrants Only: Felted article using alpaca fibre
Class FC5/3: Needle felted article using alpaca fibre
Class FC5/4: Junior Entrants Only. Needle felted article using alpaca fibre
Section 6 Hand Dying
Class FC6/1: 100g hank of white alpaca yarn dyed with either natural or synthetic colour
Class FC6/2: 100g hank of coloured alpaca yarn dyed with either natural or synthetic colour
