British Alpaca Futurity 2010

Select Auction

There will be a number of outstanding alpacas with impeccable bloodlines forsale in the auction—a great opportunity to add these to your breeding programme at excellent prices.

This year the British Alpaca Futurity auction of seven select alpacas will be a ‘silent auction’ where buyers can bid online at home or at the Futurity event on February 26th and 27th at Stoneleigh Park. The seven alpacas will be available to view in Exhibition Hall Two all day Friday and Saturday. A computer will be made available for online bidding at the Futurity or for those who hate computers, paper bids will be accepted. The alpacas will also be on the auction website from the week beginning February 15 where bids can be made and offers accepted. The auction will close at 9.30pm during the celebration dinner on Saturday evening.

Terms and Conditions for the Select Auction Entry
Owners of Alpacas nominated for sale through the British Alpaca Futurity Auction will be subject to the following Terms and Conditions to which they will have agreed and are deemed to have accepted by submitting the signed application form:
1 The alpaca will be described by the current owner and seller, with health, registration and breeding status guaranteed by the owner. The British Alpaca Futurity assumes no liability or responsibility for such detail or guarantees.
2 The Seller agrees to indemnify The British Alpaca Futurity and the Auctioneer against any claims relating to the health or soundness or title or declared data of the alpaca.
3 As part of the British Alpaca Futurity health status rules, all successful entries must have been skin tested negative for bTB prior to arrival at the event, and the owner must warrant that such alpacas have been isolated from any other alpacas on the farm that have not been so tested. Such veterinary certificate of testing and isolation can be presented at any time prior to arrival at the event providing such warranties are not breached.
4 A sale through the Futurity Internet Silent Auction constitutes a contract between the buyer (the successful bidder) and seller (current owner) of each alpaca sold and the British Alpaca Futurity assumes no responsibility, legal or otherwise, in regards to this contract.
5 Once successful bids have been made, the British Alpaca Futurity will issue a full and final invoice due for immediate payment to The Alpaca Futurity Ltd. Such settlement will be deemed as the close of this contract and the successful bidder should then make arrangements with the seller for collection of the alpaca from their farm.
6 The seller agrees to pay to the BAS registry the appropriate change of ownership fee and to return the Registration Certificate to the Registry as soon as they receive the sale funds from the auctioneer.
7 Risk on the alpaca will fall to the successful bidder after 24 hours from the bid time. Those bidders wishing to take insurance cover should instruct their broker/agent to do so within 24 hours of the successful bid. Veterinary health certificates will be forwarded to the new owner or to their insurance agent or broker upon immediate request to the seller.
8 All liability for statements about the alpaca made by the seller and printed in the catalogue, rest with the seller and The British Alpaca Futurity assumes no liability for loss, injury, sickness or act of God whilst on the Stoneleigh Park site. It is strongly recommended that the seller obtain their own public liability insurance for the duration of the event.
9 This agreement constitutes the entire agreement between the parties unless expressly replaced by a new agreement in writing between the parties.
