Open Shorn Fleece Competition
If you are unable to enter your alpacas in the halter classes, why not enter fleeces into the open shorn fleece competition. The Futurity group invites all alpaca owners to enter their fleeces into a world class judged competition.
For these classes there will be no restriction on lineage of the alpaca whose fleece you enter. All entries will be accepted regardless of their alpaca’s parentage.
Judging will take place on the day before the Futurity opens, and all place and ribbon winning entries will be on full display in the main entrance of the venue throughout both days of the event.
Classes will be open for all colours in both Huacaya and Suri up to adult classification of under 48 months. Rosettes awarded depending on class numbers. Champion and Reserve sashes will be awarded for each colour section with the best in show Futurity Fleece Champion awarded to both Huacaya and Suri.
Presentations to the owners of the Futurity champion fleeces will be made during the evening dinner on Saturday.
Fleece entries must be made using the entry form.
