Select Elite Auction
An auction of selected elite alpacas will take place at 6pm on Friday 27th February in The Avon Suites 1 and 2, following the close of judging at 5pm. Auction alpacas will be available for inspection during the day and there will be a parade in the show ring during the lunch break. Full details will be printed in the Futurity catalogue and also available on the day with the alpacas in the auction penning area.
Auctioneers Harrison and Hetherington will once again be handling the sale and this will be an excellent opportunity to purchase specially selected high quality alpacas from British breeders. There will be limited space for eight lots only, with one lot’s proceeds being donated to a charity.
Application is invited from British breeders to submit alpacas for inclusion in this prestigious event. Two lot numbers have been provisionally reserved for the Gold Sponsors.
Please use the application form within the forms section. Entry fees will be £250 plus VAT per successful application with a non refundable inspection fee of £100 plus VAT, payable at time of application. Should space be over subscribed an independent ballot will be held to select the winning entries. Entry fees will only be charged to successful entrants.
A maximum of three alpacas can be nominated, and it is suggested these should be alpacas born in the UK, under four years of age and of different sex, colour or breed type to increase the chances of gaining a place.
Armitage Livestock Insurance will be in attendance at the Select Auction to provide immediate mortality cover should successful bidders wish to take such cover following the fall of the hammer.
Successful entries will be showcased in the Futurity catalogue to be mailed to over 1000 alpaca enthusiasts both here, in mainland Europe and to alpaca enthusiasts in the rest of the world.
